At first glance the link below is to a story that would appear decidedly non-signal related, but perhaps there’s more to it than you think…

One of the reasons I enjoy collecting automobilia (traffic signals, road signs, toll booth collectors’ severed limbs, etc..) is the incongruity of seeing otherwise ubiquitous items, in an unfamiliar setting. Such as road signs and traffic signals indoors. So seeing a newspaper vending machine, nicely finished, in this guy’s living room, appeals to me. Then when you consider the work that he put into it to make it actually functional in a new and digital way, it really becomes an awesome thing.
